Get your Cuban criminal record certificate quickly and securely for your immigration procedures abroad.
The criminal record certificate, often called a police certificate, is one of the strictest and most commonly requested requirements of immigration authorities anywhere. You will need it for:
Important: this document usually has a short validity abroad, normally six months from issue. That is why we treat it as a priority at Cuba Legal Services:
We request the certificate from the Central Registry of Offenders at the Ministry of Justice in Cuba.
We put it through MINJUS in Havana straight away.
We legalize it at the Spanish Consulate or that of the destination country so it is fully valid on arrival.
We send it by international courier so you can submit it before it expires.
The Cuban authorities have extended the validity of this document to one year, both inside and outside the island. However, many immigration offices abroad, Spain among them, are strict about timing in arraigo and citizenship cases, so we treat your document as a priority to make sure you submit it as recently issued as possible.
Every receiving body has its own formal requirements — which seal, what kind of translation, how it must arrive — and they are not always clearly published. A document that does not match that format exactly means redoing the procedure from Cuba, with the cost and the wait that involves.
Tell us about your case and we will tell you exactly which documents you need, how long it takes and what it costs. Straight answers from the start.
